Crime is an important public policy issue.  Police Departments are increasingly using data and statistics to evaluate department efficiency and reduce crime.

The Swedish Police records and publishes crime reports in real time via their website and Twitter.  We decided how interesting would it be to visualize this data in Google Maps as they were happening.  Hence, Crimezone Stockholm was born.

My role: I learned how to code using HTML5, CSS3, and learned the basics of JavaScript. I also learned version control through the use of GitHub and built my own website hosted through GitHub Pages.  I helped my team with the social media management our product and getting the word out to drive traffic to our site.
